The Office for Technical Standardization, Metrology and State Testing (ÚNMZ), through the EU and International Cooperation Department, continuously coordinates cooperation with European and non-European countries that wish to develop mutually beneficial cooperation with the Czech Republic in the areas of competence of the ÚNMZ, which are metrology, state testing and standardization.

Among the countries with which the IOM has so far established cooperation in some of its areas of competence within the framework of the above-mentioned principles are Azerbaijan, China, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Romania, Russia and Syria, Turkey, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. ÚNMZ is currently implementing a foreign development cooperation project "Strengthening the capacity of the national quality infrastructure for standardisation and assessment of construction products in Bosnia and Herzegovina".
